Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time drawing on animation paper—mostly cleaning up pencil sketches and doing digital coloring work.
Personally, I still like drawing with pencil the best.
I think the energy and flow of a drawing is really important, so being able to move freely with pencil strokes just feels great.
When I’m drawing manga pages, I often have to ink over drafts with a dip pen.
But once those soft lines get inked, they stiffen up, and I really don’t like that—it instantly makes me want to redraw everything.
The linework in Button is also different from that in Yu-Gi-Oh!.
Yu-Gi-Oh! has a lot of sharp, angular lines,
but in BUTTON, I mostly use smooth, flowing curves.
It’s a joy to draw.

最近多数都在动画画纸上画画，主要是重复着将铅笔线稿清理干净，然后在电脑着色的工作。
就我个人而言，我还是最喜欢用铅笔画画呢。
我认为画的气势是很重要的，所以能够让我自由运笔的铅笔笔触感觉好极了。
画漫画原稿的时候，经常要在草稿上用蘸水笔勾线。
柔软的线条勾上线之后就变硬了，
我很不喜欢，立马就想要重新画。
BUTTON画中所用的线条跟游戏的不同。
游戏的线条都是棱角分明，
画BUTTON则基本上以圆滑曲线作画。
画得好高兴哟。
